As a start in doing some online writing in these web pages about ecopsycology, I have the good fortune to have the cooperation and assistance of Robert Greenway. Robert was the graduate school professor I worked with in the 80's at Sonoma State. He is one the original ecopsychologists before that term was even created, and he was an innovator in theory and practice through more that 30 years of university teaching.
As I did my Masters work with Robert, I went out on two extended group wilderness excursions with him, so I got the great benefit of seeing him in action, not just in the classroom. I also was able to be part of a number of shorter term wilderness trips with him that further deepened my respect for his leadership and his ability to create intensive learning experiences for participants. Since retiring, Robert has continue to read, think, and develop his ecopsychological theories. We will co-create a blog, in which I ask him some questions, and then we have a back and forth discussion. I hope you find something of interest. |
